Giving Our Merciful God Praise!

O, LORD of Mercy!  I was dead in my sin.  Lost.  I lived in the way the world lives; gratifying the craving of the flesh following its desires and thoughts.  I lived in a manner that deserved Your wrath.  God, because You are rich in mercy and because of Your great love for me, You made me alive in Christ.  It is by Your grace You saved me!  It is by Your wondrous grace I am saved and this is a wonderful gift from You!  For there is nothing I could have done on my own to have made You show such mercy, love, compassion, and kindness to me!  You have made me into a new creation, Your masterpiece, created in Christ to do good works which You prepared for me to do long ago!  You pour out Your Holy Spirit on me in generous amounts through Jesus Christ washing me clean and renewing me each and every day!  You have justified me by grace making me an heir with hope.  Only YOU can do such a thing!  You are Holy!  You are Good!  You are Perfect!  May my soul hunger and thirst for You as long as I live!  May my soul rejoice and my heart leap with joy to bring You honor, glory, and praise! Amen

Ephesians 2:1-10
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Titus 3:4-7
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
